Wine Review Tuesday: Les Rocs de Plaisance Bordeaux

Bordeaux wine is produced in the Bordeaux region of France, at least according to Wikipedia (ya, not the most credible source I know). There are many different types of wines that come from this region including reds, dry whites and sweat whites. Apparently Bordeauxs are all about blending, usually having 3-5 varieties making up a bottle. But this is a special bottle, according to vinesse.com and is considered a varietal bottle, made because the 2015 harvest of Merlot fruit was simply just that good.

And for this bottle having merlot in it, I truly wasn’t a fan! It was like drinking an expensive bottle of Welchs grape juice. If I want to drink alcoholic grape juice, I’d just as some vodka to Welchs.
